  • Charbel's extensive career in international diplomacy and communication includes notable roles with the United Nations. As a Spokesperson and Director of Communication & External Affairs, he led strategic communication efforts for high-profile UN missions, from Counter-Terrorism efforts to International Migration advocacy in addition to organizing peace-talks in the Middle East.

    During his mission with the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism, he played a pivotal role in liaising with global leaders, think tanks, and political entities, and mobilizing crucial resources for the cause. His expertise in international relations was also essential in his work with the UN Office of the Special Representative for International Migration, where he managed advocacy and communications and facilitated large-scale global events, including the Global Compact for Migration adoption event in Marrakech in the presence of more than 100 Heads of Governments and more than 700 journalists.

    From 2014 to 2017, as Director of Communication & Political Affairs Officer for the UN Office of the Special Envoy for Yemen, Charbel was at the forefront of political and advocacy initiatives, contributing to the UN peace talks in Geneva, Kuwait, Riyadh and Sana’a and building a strong media presence for the organization on both regional and international platforms.
